Our Mission
Welcome to Catfixerny Rescue, our small 501(c)(3) cat rescue private foundation based in Rockaway Beach, New York. Our mission is centered on compassion, community, and improving the lives of vulnerable cats both locally and abroad.
Our primary focus is Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), rehabilitation of injured cats, and providing care and comfort for senior cats in need. We are dedicated to supporting local rescue organizations and helping low-income families gain access to veterinary care and pet food assistance through our community support efforts and pet food pantry.
We are a foster-based rescue during the rehabilitation process of cats in our care and do not operate a shelter or physical facility. While we are passionate about helping cats in need, we do not handle adoptions or intake of surrendered pets. Instead, our work is focused on prevention, rehabilitation, and supporting existing rescue networks within the community.
Our rescue is entirely supported by donations and public generosity, allowing us to continue our mission and provide lifesaving care to cats who need it most.
Whenever possible, we also participate in TNR missions internationally, including efforts in Cairo, Egypt, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, helping address the global stray cat crisis with humane and compassionate solutions.
